If your monthly disposable income is below £50 and your debts are under £15000, you could gain formal respite for 12 months from your creditors. If your circumstances have not improved after this period, the debts will be written off. DROs are only for those with assets of less than £300 and can only be arranged through those bodies (called competent authorities) listed on the Insolvency Service website http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/bankruptcy/DRO/auth.htm  Creditors are not allowed to contact you once a DRO is in place.
